 Finally an excellent set of precision screwdrivers January 14, 2010

I purchased this set of screwdrivers some 3 years ago. I had never heard of Wiha and was looking for a set of precision drivers for my small projects. Being a fan of German products, I gave these guys a try. I had bought Craftsman in the past and sure you can return it every time the tip rounds off however it was tired of doing so and wanted to try something else.
I remember vividly the moment that I opened the package, the screwdrivers felt comfortable to the grip, I immediately liked the red knob of top that allows the screwdriver to rotate while putting pressure on it without burning your hand. Next was the grinding stone test. I took one of the drivers and scraped it on the stone and realized that it was harder than anything I had ever had!!! With that, I wanted to get it on something right then and there so I tackled the project of removing the dashboard from my 69 Mercedes.
I was sold by the time I finished working on it. These screwdrivers stay on the head, do not slip out, do not round the heads of the screws, the tips were not damaged and they allowed me to exert a good amount of pressure onto the screwdriver to turn tightly fastened screws.
I still have the 7 pieces, they are kept away from the kids, wife and any person who may use them as a lever or without care. All the tips are in great shape, all the red knobs are in place & all turn freely. I use this set probably once a week on average for something or other. I keep other screwdrivers in the house and sometimes I reach for them to do a quick thing; many times, I end up going to fetch my Wiha ones and avoid the frustration that comes with using cheaply made tools.
This is the last set of precision screwdrivers that I will probably have to buy unless I lose them. As I write this review, I just ordered the large set of Wiha screwdrivers, the ones with microfinish on the handle. I have had exposure to those since a friend owns one every time I use it I question myself for not having a set of my own. A true tool beauty!
These do not have the Craftsman return policy but you won't need it, if you know how to use the tools properly, you will enjoy using these for a long time.
Go for it, get them, you won't regret it!

Like most people, I've needed a small screwdriver from time to time for anything from glasses to hobbies. Most are junk and will twist and bend before performing their task.
These screwdrivers are for more serious hobyists. They are well made and as you'll read in other reviews, the bottom twists--an important feature when you're trying to get more torque by using the bottom of your hand. I've used them for many tasks and they've been quite adequate.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the lack of case. These things tend to get lost/damaged without one and it would have been good to have. But as for quality and usefullness, they are excellent.
